Cohen attends CIE conference

Last week, the European Parliament hosted a conference sponsored by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (or CEI), a group with a long name and a short agenda: demonizing Israel. But it was the first time that the European Parliament played host to such shrill vulgarity—a further sign of Europe’s lack of credibility as Israel’s viable partner for peace.

The outcome of the conference was predictable. The most common accusation against Israel was that it is an apartheid state, a claim shared by most attendees. Still, there was innovation in the repertoire, as Daniel Schwammenthal notes in today’s Wall Street Journal Europe. Clare Short, a British MP and former minister who resigned over the Iraq war, blamed Israel for global warming. Her reasoning was that, since Israel distracts the world with its unruly behavior, the world does not spend enough time, attention, and resources on the real issue: man-made climate change. Meanwhile, Belgian Pierre Galand was concerned that Israel’s attempts to shield itself from missile threats would be harmful to peace. (A missile shield might be harmful to Iran’s desire to destroy Israel, on the other hand, which makes Galand’s conception of peace seem a bit strange.)

In the midst of this spectacle, one could see an old man—Aharon Cohen, a member of the radically anti-Zionist Hasidic sect Neturei Karta, who recently attended a Tehran Holocaust denial gathering—walking about with a small laminated Palestinian flag pinned on his chest. Cohen was not among the speakers, but his presence was telling enough. Rubbing shoulders with him in the crowded hall meant that participants were two degrees of separation away from Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and white supremacist David Duke. Could it be that this closeness inspired University of Wisconsin professor Jennifer Loewenstein to accuse Israel of genocide—further proof of the distance, in the world of pro-Palestinian advocacy, between facts and rhetoric?

Vienna - Vienna Courts Will Make The Call About a Neturei Karta Member's Kids.

Moishe Ayre Friedman's children may be paying for the infamy of their father, an anti-Zionist Jew who attended a Holocaust denial conference in Tehran.

Five of his children were expelled from their private Orthodox Jewish school in Vienna about a month after Friedman, dressed in Chasidic attire, was shown in media outlets worldwide warmly shaking hands with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Despite a court order, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and the threat of closure, Machzikei Hadas won't let them return -- a position that apparently is receiving unqualified support from the school's parents, the umbrella group of Vienna Jewry and a number of Orthodox rabbis who serve the parents.

The Friedman children are in educational limbo while a trial to determine whether Machzikei Hadas had the legal right to expel them starts Tuesday in a Vienna district court. Some legal experts predict the case may go on for months or even years.

Meanwhile, the children are not attending school. The Ministry of Education offered them placement in public schools, but Friedman said those schools were were not suitable for religious children. [jta]

Police:The fire was started by Neturei karta- Our view on the fire a must read

A boy playing with matches burned down the synagogue of an anti-Israel Orthodox Jewish group, not Zionist opponents, police said Friday.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with criminal mischief and referred to Family Court in the April 1 fire that wrecked the Congregation Bais Yehudi synagogue, about 40 miles north of New York City, said Ramapo police Sgt. John Lynch.

Some synagogue members had claimed Zionists opposed to their anti-Israel views set the blaze
But the police said the fire was caused by the boy "recklessly throwing matches around."

No one was injured in the fire, which gutted the building.

What we have to say-
We are sorry that we posted this article late. We are working very hard with our Monsey reporters to get you more info that has not been in media yet but for now here is what I think. As this is big news due to Weiss saying it is 99% arson from NK haters it not only was not done by NK haters it was done by their own people the reason for this was so the media should get a hold of it, this is what NK does they get themselves in the news. As this story on this "suspicious" fire you don’t get yourself arrested for by mistakenly starting a fire. NK STARTED THIS FIRE FOR PR its simple to figure that out. NK is a group of a very small number there are a-lot of wackoes out there with larger groups than NK but they say they have 200,000 followers as quoting Weiss on Fox TV with millions of people watching " we have 200,000 followers". To make it to the press I can dress up and look like whatever I want. Who says NK keeps Shabbos. They make the press way too much as this story on the "suspicious" fire was on over 500 news sources, it was AP (Associated Press) top 5 headline stories which means all the newspapers and new sites like yahoo and msn put this as top news and millions of people read this ITS TIME TO PUT THEM DOWN HOW LONG CAN THIS CHILEL HASHEM KEEP GOING THEY ARE right on middle of our NY communities ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WE ARE GOING TO TAKE THEM DOWN I ASK OF YOU TO HELP ME AND SPREAD THIS SITE THANK YOU

Stop Ahmadinejad Before It's Too Late

There is a great article on Ahmadinejad an NK at this link-
http://globalpolitician.com/articledes.asp?ID=2781&cid=2&sid=4

Its a big article so here is a preview -just go on the site for the rest the link to the article is above

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad not only wants to wipe the state of Israel off the world map but also sincerely believes that it can be done. And the first stage in his long term strategy is the project of creating doubt about the single most human tragedy that the world had to endure – the Holocaust.

In December, 2005 speaking in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, he said "Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail." Then on December 14, 2005, Ahmadinejad stirred up international controversy with a speech calling the Holocaust a "myth." Ahmadinejad said the myth has been created by Europeans to create a Jewish state in the heart of the Islamic world. "Today, they have created a myth in the name of Holocaust and consider it to be above God, religion and the prophets," Ahmadinejad said in a speech in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan.

In December, 2005, he tried to deny that the Holocaust occurred. "Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces. . . Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true. . . .The Europeans," said Mr. Ahmadinejad, "should give some of their provinces in Europe to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe."
s the support of the US and European rabbis from the ultra-Orthodox group Neturei Karta that is so vital, politically and strategically, for Iran’s fascist president. This Jewish fringe group doesn’t deny the Holocaust but claims that the event has been misused by the Zionists to justify the Jewish state. Recent incidents and events staged by the Islamists have underlined the vitality of such Jewish and Christian groups for their cause. Anti-American, anti-Semitic and Islamo-fascists have been using the presence of these non-Muslims in their camps to convince the world that the creation of the Jewish state is unjust. There is no doubt that these misguided Jews and Christians have rendered an invaluable service to the cause of Islamic fascism.

Ahmadinejad’s campaign to deny the genocide is a very deliberate and cleverly plotted war plan to destroy the Jewish state so that the ground can be prepared for the second Holocaust to achieve Adolf Hitler’s final solution of the Jewish question. And the tragedy is that the rising anti-Semitism is helping the Persian Fuhrer. Just like Adolf Eichmann who coined the term, Ahamdinejad also believes that the Jewish population itself poses a “question” and a "problem".

If Ahamdinejad is not stopped right away, the Tehran conference will go a long way in preparing the grounds to stage the second Holocaust. The Wannsee Conference in January 20, 1942, convened by Reinhard Heydrich, accomplished a similar goal by bringing together the leaders of German organizations. The cooperation of these organizations was necessary to carry out the Nazi plan for the extermination of the entire Jewish population of Europe by convincing the German leadership that the “Final Solution of the Jewish Question” was a strategic imperative of the Third Reich.

“Mass killings of over one million Jews occurred before the plans of the Final Solution were fully implemented in 1942, but it was only with the decision to eradicate the entire Jewish population that the extermination camps or "Death camps" were built and industrialized mass slaughter of Jews began in earnest. This decision to systematically kill the Jews of Europe was made by the time of, or at the Wannsee conference. . . . During the conference there was a discussion held by a group of Nazi officials to decide on the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question". The records and minutes of this meeting were found intact by the Allies at the end of the war and served as valuable evidence during the Nuremberg Trials. By spring of 1942, Operation Reinhard began the systematic extermination of the Jews, although hundreds of thousands had already been killed by death squads and in mass pogroms.”

In conclusion, I will only say that Ahamdinejad has to be stopped if we want to prevent a second Holocaust from becoming a reality. Because this time the Holocaust will not be just for the Jews; it will send all of the infidels to the gas chambers.

NYC: NK going strong at Salute to Israel Parade

Mayor Bloomberg joined his Jerusalem counterpart, Uri Lupolianski, to lead thousands of marchers along Fifth Avenue yesterday at the annual Salute to Israel parade.

The mayor ignored 100 or so demonstrators who brandished placards protesting what they said is Jewish occupation of Palestinian lands.

Joining the protesters was Yisroel Dovid Weiss, the controversial Rockland County rabbi who recently attended a conference of Holocaust deniers in Iran.

“It’s godless, the concept of Zionism,” said Weiss.

Pro-Israeli demonstrators who weren’t marching hurled insults at Weiss. Yuram Navi said, “Hasidics are here with the Palestinians. They all have an interest to destroy Israel. All of the terrorists are unite

Iran applauds UK anti-Zionist Jews for backing journalists' boycott

The anti-Semitic regime of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad welcomed a fringe group of ultra-orthodox Jews, Neturei Karta, to its Holocaust denial conference in Teheran last December.

Now it is cozying up to their left-wing secular counterparts. A small band of highly vociferous Jewish leftist extremists, who have been gaggling in excitement at the increasing demonization of Israel in Britain and beyond, have come to the notice of the Tehran regime.

The Iranian state news agency reports that: "British Jews welcome journalists joining Israeli boycott". (For background to this story, see "UK journalists boycott Israel: will they now ban their PCs and cells?")

The Teheran regime is referring to a letter published in the British newspaper, The Guardian, by a group calling themselves "JBIG" (Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods). All the signatories -- Deborah Fink, Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, Mike Cushman, Sylvia Finzi, Tony Greenstein, Ruth Tenne, Deborah Maccoby, Prof Moshe Machover, Mike Marqusee -- are already well-known for their incessant campaigns against Israel and its supporters.

Deborah Fink has described Israel as a "satanic state."

"The same official Iranian state news agency uncritically publishes the words of wisdom of its beloved President on the subject of the Holocaust," points out David Zarnett, of a moderate left-wing British Jewish group called "Engage" who are campaigning against the extremist anti-Zionism of the British left.

documentary about neturei karta to be played in Toronto

Meanwhile, in another corner of Jerusalem live another group of people – the Neturei Karta.

In Yoel, Israel and the Pashkavils, an Israeli documentary directed by Lina Chaplin, we get a rare glimpse into this community of haredim who are opposed to the State of Israel because it is a secular state.

Opposed to modern forms of technology, the Neturei Karta disseminate their news and opinions through pashkavils (posters) that they paste on the walls of their community.

But, like in all societies, viewpoints differ, and this documentary focuses on the battle of words between Israel, an extremist who carries no ID card, and Yoel, a savvy, humorous businessmen who is a bit more moderate.

Israel has nine children with his young wife. “I hope to have 22,” he says, though his wife just smiles. They live in a one-bedroom apartment. He sees television as a tool of defilement.

Israel owns a printing press and has written hundreds of pashkavils stating the more Orthodox viewpoints. The ironic thing is that Yoel won the contract from the municipality to paste these posters up.

He dutifully puts up their posters, but at times covers them with his own rebuttals. “I’m not afraid to sign my pashkavils,” he says. When he is criticized in one of the posters for participating in a television documentary, he prints one saying, “How do you know so well what’s on TV?”

Meanwhile, Yoel is caught by the interviewer using a cellphone. “Isn’t this wrong?” the interviewer asks.

Yoel shrugs his shoulders guiltily. “Only the latest ones are,” he replies.

This is an interesting, at times humorous look into this rather secretive sect of chassidic Jews.

It airs May 9 at 1 p.m. at the Bloor Cinema.

US Govt's Al-Hurra TV Promotes Anti-Israel Agenda

(IsraelNN.com) According to a column by investigative writer Joel Mowbray in the Wall Street Journal's online Opinion section, OpinionJournal.com, an Arabic-language satellite TV station operated by the United States government is promoting an anti-Israel agenda, including
Al-Hurra correspondents treated Ahmadinejad and the gathered Holocaust deniers "with unmistakable deference."
pandering to Neturei Karta, American racists, the Iranian dictatorship and Holocaust deniers.

Mowbray reports that the station, established to present the American perspective to the Arab world, has been broadcasting reports and feature pieces that seem to feed the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel attitudes and beliefs already conspicuous throughout the Middle East. Mowbray writes that the situation has escaped the oversight of the US administration due to lack of communication. Ironically, the OpinionJournal columnist notes, the anti-Western and anti-Israel bias situation at Al-Hurra was better controlled under the previous station director, a Muslim of Lebanese background.

As an example of the current bias at A-Hurra, Mowbray describes a feature story the station broadcast in January on the tiny fringe Jewish group Neturei Karta, some of whose members took part in a Holocaust denial conference hosted by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last year. According to Mowbray:

"The Neturei Karta were presented as mainstream Orthodox Jews, and Al-Hurra claimed that they number more than one million. The story's angle is clear from the anchor's introduction: 'They always put Israeli officials in a bind, who can't seem to understand how Jews can oppose Zionism, or how a Jew can encourage Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his opposition to Israel.' Various Neturei Karta members uttered outrageous falsehoods about supposed 'Zionist' cruelty, including 'torture, detention, [and the] burning of their synagogues.' None of these libels were challenged, let alone debunked."

During a December report on the Iranian Holocaust denial conference, Mowbray writes, Al-Hurra correspondents treated Ahmadinejad and the gathered Holocaust deniers "with unmistakable deference." Among those attendees whose comments went out over the air unchallenged were the well-known American racist politician and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, and French Holocaust denier and anti-Semite Robert Faurisson. The former offered praise for the Iranian President and the latter told Al-Hurra viewers that the Holocaust "is completely untrue, and an historical lie."

Mowbray provides more details of the December 12th Al-Hurra report from Tehran's Holocaust denial conference: "The Al-Hurra reporter... referred to those who believe Hitler killed six million Jews as 'Holocaust supporters.' He took a swipe at the handful of conference attendees who didn't deny the Holocaust, by noting that they 'didn't enforce their statements with scientific evidence.' In closing the piece, he referred to Israel as 'the Jewish state on Palestinian lands.'"

It is not just denial of the Jewish past on Al-Hurra that strikes columnist Mowbray as troubling, but the platform given to Hizbullah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah for a full, one-hour-plus speech he delivered live on December 7, 2006. In the subsequent 13-minute phone interview with a member of Lebanon's government, Mowbray tells his readers, the Lebanese official "accused the Hezbollah leader of not being anti-U.S. and anti-Israel enough."
Al-Hurra receives an annual budget of over $70 million from the US government with almost no oversight.

The Wall Street Journal columnist goes on to note that Al-Hurra receives an annual budget of over $70 million from the US government with almost no oversight. As Mowbray reports:

"During the March 21 House Foreign Operations Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Rep. Mark Kirk (R., Ill.) pressed [Secretary of State Condoleezza] Rice on the wisdom of providing a platform to Islamic terrorists, citing Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah's Dec. 7 speech, which Al-Hurra aired live. The broadcast speech 'went on for 30 minutes,' she responded, 'followed by commentary, much of which was critical of Nasrallah.'"

Mowbray believes that Secretary Rice's reply indicates that she was herself misled by Al-Hurra executives as to the nature of the actual Nasrallah broadcast.

"[If] you can't get fired for using U.S. taxpayer dollars to provide a platform for Islamic terrorists and help further Holocaust denial, then wouldn't Congress and the Bush administration be communicating that pretty much anything goes?" Joel Mowbray asks in conclusion.

Ahmadinejad’s “Islamic Republic News Agency” Applauds UK Anti-Zionist Jews for Supporting Journalists’ Boycott

The anti-Semitic regime of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has already welcomed a fringe group of ultra-orthodox Jewish nutcases, Neturei Karta, to its Holocaust denial conference in Teheran last December.

Now it is cozying up to their equally disturbed left-wing secular counterparts. A small band of highly vociferous Jewish leftist extremists, who have been gaggling in excitement at the increasing demonization of Israel in Britain and beyond, have come to the attention of the Teheran regime.

The Iranian state news agency reports that: "British Jews welcome journalists joining Israeli boycott".*

All the signatories – Deborah Fink, Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, Mike Cushman, Sylvia Finzi, Tony Greenstein, Ruth Tenne, Deborah Maccoby, Prof Moshe Machover, Mike Marqusee – are already well-known for their incessant campaigns against Israel and those who sympathize with her.

Deborah Fink, for example, has described Israel as a "satanic state".

Fox article on Neturei Karta

MONSEY, N.Y. (AP) -- The fiercely anti-Zionist group Neturei Karta has always been a source of tension in this heavily Jewish community north of New York City. They routinely burn the Israeli flag. They pray for the end of the Jewish state. A few members even traveled to Iran to participate in a Holocaust-denial conference.

Locals aren't shy about using words like "traitor" and "crackpots" to describe the group.

The tension escalated a few notches on Monday after the group's synagogue burned down on the eve of Passover and a Neturei Karta leader said the fire was deliberately set to target members because of their anti-Israeli views.

"They have threatened us, they have warned us, they have harassed us," said Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, referring to Zionists. "Those who did this will repent. They should turn to the Torah so that we can all have peace."

"This fire is a desecration of God's name."

Authorities were quick to say the fire was suspicious in the hours after the Sunday night blaze, but they backed off Monday afternoon as they got a closer look at the charred house. Peter Brower, chief of the Ramapo Police Department, said that although officials had not ruled anything out, nothing emerged from the initial investigation to indicate that arson was the cause. No sign of accelerants was found, he said.

No one was injured in the fire. A senior Neturei Karta rabbi and his family, who lived on the top floor of the three-story, century-old structure, were not home.

The fire gutted the building, and charred prayer books were strewn across the front lawn Monday afternoon. The writing works of the rabbi who lived there were believed to be destroyed.

"They are crazy, but no one should burn down their synagogue," Holocaust survivor Shei Kormblue said as his family members were busy making matzo for Passover. "God will punish whoever needs punishment. It's not up to us."

The Neturei Karta has been the target of threats in the past because of its involvement in the anti-Zionism movement.

Members oppose Israel because they believe there should not be a Jewish state until the Messiah comes and leads them to the promised land. They don't dispute that the Holocaust took place, but they believe Israelis have used the Holocaust to gain sympathy and advantage.

Neturei Karta members are often seen wearing their black hats, coats and long, unruly beards and heckling marchers in annual Israel Day parades in New York. They have appeared publicly with many critics of Israel, including Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

It was the trip to Iran late last year by five members of the group that sent the outrage soaring to new levels. Ahmadinejad has called the Holocaust a "myth" and said Israel should be "wiped off the face of the map." The visit also came amid fears that Iran may want to attack Israel.

Still, with a membership estimated to be only in the thousands, the Neturei Karta are generally tolerated or ignored, although they were greeted with a large protest at the Monsey synagogue upon their return from Iran.

"Ninety-five percent of us in the community don't agree with them, but we don't shun them," said David Abromevitz. "We know who they are. They send their kids to our schools and shop in our stores."

Monsey is an ultra-Orthodox community about 35 miles north of New York City. The streets are dotted with signs in both Hebrew and English, and businesses with names like "Jerusalem Auto Body" "Kol Tov Pizzeria" are a frequent sight.

Weiss called it a "tragedy" that so many holy books went up in flames. "A part of our heart and soul was taken away," he said.

Neturei Karta members are often confused with the Satmars, who have a huge community in the nearby village of Kiryas Joel. But there is no connection between the two groups.

Newsday article on Neturei Karta

The small, fringe anti-Zionist Jewish group Neturei Karta sparked outrage by meeting in December with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. On Sunday night, a suspicious fire destroyed one of the group's synagogues in Monsey, N.Y.

An explanation of the group's worldview:
___

WHAT THEY BELIEVE: Followers of Neturei Karta, or "Guardians of the City," believe that only God can redeem Jews from sin, end their exile and create Israel. They base their belief partly on a reading of Psalms 127:1: "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain on it; unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman keeps vigil in vain."

___

WHERE THEY LIVE: With a membership estimated to be only in the thousands, many followers live in the United States, England _ and even Israel. However, they do not participate in the Israeli government in any way, such as voting or taking government assistance.
___

WHY THEY PROTEST: The ultra-Orthodox group believes the messianic age will not start until Zionism is eliminated, so they make common cause with some of the most outspoken critics of the Jewish state. They heckle marchers in annual Israel Day parades in New York and regularly burn the Israeli flag. They have appeared publicly with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and in December met with Ahmadinejad in Tehran during a conference debating the Holocaust.

Montreal marks Israeli independence with Neturei Karta there

Montreal marks Israeli independence

About 6,000 people turned out in downtown Montreal to celebrate Israel's Independence Day.

The rally took place at its usual downtown location following last year's unsuccessful relocation to the mainly Jewish suburb of Cote Saint-Luc. A heavy police contingent was on hand following reports that a large anti-Zionist rally was expected nearby.

Ultimately the sole anti-Zionists were some 25 members of the Neturei Karta, a Chasidic sect that opposes the Jewish state. They chanted anti-Israel slogans and waved Palestinian flags and signs condemning Israel from behind protective barricades and a wall of police officers. There was no violence.

Why we are here

We are here to tell people the truth about NK and cover you on the latest news about them they are a group of a few people they make themselves popular by protesting and meeting crazy people and that attracts a-lot of attention from the media because they call themselves Rabbis and say they represent the Jewish people. They are a bunch of lowlifes who are dressed up like frum Jews they are not Rabbis in any way. Just some facts about NK they have talked on television on Shabbos they met with famous Arab leaders including Yasir Arafat who has supported them with money, Iranian President M. Ahmadinejad who they met at a Holocaust denial conference in Iran, Mahamoud Abbas they are not supported by any Rabbi or Jewish organization or Jewish group there only supporters are Arabs. As Jews its are responsibility to stop this chilel Hashem that’s why we are here and they deserve no publicity
